¿Qué ocurre si un trunk con switch en modo transparente se convierte en modo servidor?
Hola a todos.
He participado en una página de CISCO en un foro acerca VTP y plantean este escenario que os traigo:

El switch en modo transparente esta en medio de las conexiones del trunk, es la única unión entreel switch servidor y el switch cliente.
El switch servidor crea 3 vlans, vlan 10,11 y 12 y el switch transparente tiene la vlan 222.
¿Tú crees que las VLAN creadas en el switch server irán hacia el switch cliente? ¿Por qué?
¿Si el switch en modo transparente se transforma en servidor, ¿Qué crees que ocurrirá? ¿Se sumaran lass VLANs? ¿Se borraran?
Esto ha sido discutido en esta página , partiendo de una pregunta anterior, pero os muestro aquí los resultados.
Conclusión primera pregunta:
3 switches unidos en un tronco en el mismo dominio comparten su VLAN entre servidor y cliente. El switch Transparent no consigue que los cambios los rechacen.
¿Por qué ocurre? Switch de modo transparente: Los switches transparentes -VTP no participan en VTP. Un switch transparente VTP no anuncia su configuración de VLAN y no sincroniza su configuración de VLAN basada en anuncios recibidos, pero los switches transparentes envían anuncios VTP que reciben sus puertos troncal en VTP Versión 2.

Conclusión segunda pregunta: Sorpresa para mí. switch transparente quita todo lo que tiene antes y obtiene la información desde el switch servidor . Ahora tenemos 3 switches unidos en un tronco compartiendo la misma información
Otra sorpresa: He cambiado de nuevo el switch del medio (switch servidor por un momento) para cambiar de nuevo a switch transparente. He recargado. Espero que este cambio de obtener información de vlan.dat información con la vieja información (VLAN 22). Sólo para tratar de recordar la vieja configuración. Imagina que pierdes la configuración de un switch !. Quería crear el primer escenario El resultado es que el switch ha perdido todo lo que tenía como switch transparente. Una vez más, el switch transparente no cambia nada cuando he creado un nuevo vlan en el switch servidor, pero la VLAN 22 está perdida para siempre.
